Echo 8 Trilogy Secures Liverpool City Council’s Matching Grant Program for Story to Screen Series

Phoenix Eye Films is delighted to announce that the Echo 8 Trilogy has been awarded Liverpool City Council’s prestigious Matching Grant Program Award. This endorsement allows the Echo 8 Trilogy to expand its successful Story to Screen Series to the Liverpool Local Government Area (LGA), offering a tailored experience to the local community through four comprehensive workshops.


Maria Tran, the visionary behind the Echo 8 Trilogy, shares her excitement: "It’s been an eye-opener to see how much local talent, businesses, and organizations go unrecognized for the hard work to build what Liverpool is today. I believe this community development project will be an innovative way to tie in a local movie that is anticipated to go international in 2026."


Workshop Details:

  • Details: Designed for aspiring filmmakers and hobbyists, this workshop focuses on creating compelling films with minimal resources. Participants will gain hands-on experience in camera operation, shot composition, and lighting techniques, all while learning to maximize their creativity on a tight budget.

About the Echo 8 Trilogy Project:

Building on the success of the Fairfield City Council grant, the Echo 8 Trilogy is now being welcomed into the Liverpool LGA, bringing with it a series of workshops designed to engage and activate local spaces and businesses. The Echo 8 Trilogy is a community and cultural development feature film project that collaborates with local digital artists and storytellers from diverse backgrounds to produce a community-driven film. This initiative emphasizes the empowerment of women in the arts while fostering a global outcome, with the final product slated for distribution on Amazon Prime in 2026.


The Echo 8 Trilogy: Story to Screen Workshop Series - Liverpool is managed by Phoenix Eye Films and funded through Liverpool City Council’s Matching Grant Program. The project is auspiced by Diversity Arts Australia and supported by Arts & Cultural Exchange, with local partners KMA Liverpool, The Hunts Hotel, and The Street University.
